
This funding, paid over 3 years, will help us support current residents and future applicants with continued access to subsidised retirement housing. Crucially this also includes essential investment needed to respond to new regulatory requirements including working towards our properties are EPC C compliant by 2030.
This funding also includes investment to help clergy prepare well for retirement and make informed choices about their plans building on the ideas proposed through Enabling Choice. This package includes offering grants towards saving and to bridge the gap towards home-ownership.
This announcement is part of a broader clergy well-being package, including pension improvements previously announced.
The spending plans feature on the outline of business for General Synod next month, which provides an opportunity for Synod to engage with what has been announced today.
The funding should be available to the Board from early 2026. We are already taking steps to get ready for that investment, and more details will be shared on this page and with our members in due course.
