The Church of England Pensions Board, as a shareholder in both Anglo American Plc and Teck Resources, welcomes the proposed merger to form Anglo Teck.

Commenting on the proposed merger, Adam Matthews, Chief Responsible Investment Officer of the Pensions Board, said: “This is a positive development that the Church of England Pensions Board as a shareholder welcomes. This is a consolidation that makes sense and brings complementary corporate cultures together. I welcome the respective company boards’ determination to bring Anglo Teck into existence. The industry will be stronger for this move. We also welcome the continued primary listing of the proposed new entity on the London Stock Exchange.”
